What small, but definitely not sleepy, southern town ranks No. 1 for STEM graduates, boasts the highest number of Ph.D.s per capita in the world, offers the most affordable living in the country, and is home to two minor league sports teams? The answer: Huntsville, Alabama. And, Huntsville will soon add another item to that notable list: a new FBI campus.
StraitSys President, Tim Strait, recently visited the StraitSys offices in Huntsville. While there, he was able to catch a glimpse of the new FBI campus, which is currently an active construction site with dirt piles and concrete pads. However, one can easily envision a vibrant, bustling campus. With its Huntsville location, along with its Washington D.C. office, StraitSys is strategically poised to serve its national security clients while also providing great locations for its employees to live.
Huntsville is home to several amenities. These include the University of Alabama at Huntsville. A new baseball stadium opens in 2020 and will serve as home to the Rocket City Trash Pandas, a minor league baseball team (Anaheim Angels affiliate). They join a minor league hockey team, the Huntsville Havoc, to round out the professional sports offerings in Huntsville. In addition, the outdoor living co-op REI cites Huntsville as a Top 5 hiking destination.
“I am excited to have a presence in Huntsville, and am looking forward to explosive growth in this great small city,” says StraitSys President Tim Strait.
